Plymouth, MA — September 25, 2023 — Dave Connor, Executive Director of Project Trinitē, and Matt Glynn, Board Co-Chair of Project Trinitē recently had the extraordinary privilege of meeting and collaborating with the legendary Dr. Jane Goodall, renowned for her groundbreaking work in wildlife conservation and environmental advocacy. This encounter marks a monumental step forward in the efforts of Project Trinitē to expand their global outreach and make a lasting impact in remote communities.
Dave Connor expressed his awe at the opportunity to discuss Project Trinitē with Dr. Goodall, a renowned figure whose work he had admired since childhood. He stated, “It was surreal discussing the organization with Jane, and our shared mission to change lives worldwide. She radiates kindness, brilliance, and is an inspiration for upholding a compassionate approach to the underserved regions worldwide.”
Matt Glynn found a deeper understanding while walking the beach with Jane. He recalls, “It was truly enjoyable to receive her wisdom and knowledge. She is remarkable, and her organizations are impressive in their structure and dedication. I felt honored to share this experience with Jane.”
About Dr. Jane Goodall: In July 1960, at the age of 26, Jane Goodall embarked on a journey from England to what is now Tanzania, Africa, venturing into the little-known world of wild chimpanzees. Armed with little more than a notebook, binoculars, and an unquenchable curiosity for wildlife, Jane braved the unknown to provide the world with a remarkable window into humankind’s closest living relatives. Dr. Jane Goodall has not only emphasized the urgent need to protect chimpanzees and other endangered species but has also expanded the concept of species conservation to include the needs of local communities and the environment through the Jane Goodall Institute.
Today, Dr. Jane Goodall travels the globe, addressing the threats facing chimpanzees and other species, as well as pressing environmental issues. She passionately urges each of us to take action on behalf of all living things and the planet we share. To learn more about Dr. Jane Goodall and her work, visit JaneGoodall.org.
Dr. Jane believes that every individual can make a difference, particularly today’s young people, whom she views as some of the most compassionate and creative change-makers our world has ever seen. To empower and encourage youth of all ages to pursue their passions, mobilize their peers, and become compassionate citizens and leaders, she established the Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots & Shoots program. This initiative is vital for ensuring a brighter future for people, other animals, and the environment. For more information on the Roots & Shoots program, please visit the Roots & Shoots website.
