Quincy, MA – November 10, 2023 – Project Trinitē is excited to announce support from Jay Cashman and David Murphy, who have graciously provided a strategic location at the historic Fore River Shipyard near Boston. This collaboration marks a significant step towards facilitating the fabrication and shipment of Portable Online Development systems (PODs), aiming to revolutionize global access and catalyze development in under resourced communities.
The PODs are ingeniously retrofitted 8 x 20′ shipping container that functions as a globally connected work hubs. Each POD features a self-contained solar system comprising solar panels, battery backup, inverters, and a broadband satellite receiver. PODs can operate autonomously or be combined to create larger work centers. They offer complete security, monitoring, and protection, running solely on solar power, independent of the grid. Each POD accommodates up to 10 workstations.

The Fore River Shipyard, located in Quincy, Massachusetts, has a rich maritime history dating back to its establishment in 1883. This iconic shipyard played a pivotal role in both World Wars, constructing a multitude of significant naval vessels. During World War I, Fore River built numerous destroyers, submarines, and cargo ships for the U.S. Navy. In World War II, the shipyard expanded its production to include aircraft carriers, battleships, and landing ships, contributing substantially to the Allied war effort. One of its most notable constructions was the USS Massachusetts, a battleship that served in the Pacific theater. The shipyard has also left its mark on popular culture, with scenes from the classic movie “The Thomas Crown Affair” (1968) and the critically acclaimed “The Departed” (2006) being filmed on its grounds. An interesting historical tidbit is that the shipyard’s Pier 4 was the birthplace of the first-ever aircraft carrier, USS Langley, in 1920, marking a pioneering moment in naval aviation. The Fore River Shipyard stands as a testament to America’s industrial prowess and its enduring contributions to naval history.
Project Trinitē expresses sincere gratitude for Jay Cashman’s invaluable support in this transformative endeavor to redefine economic development, break barriers, and uplift communities worldwide. Together we will make a lasting impact on the global landscape.
